And in short, I was afraid.: cynicalcynical
the Mermaid's Song: my keyboard clacking
Where's the Prufrock love??
Come on all ye people, come and support this fantastic masterpiece ... or ... or i will eat you >;)
*tumble weed blows across*
Ah maybe I should stop measuring out my life with keyboard letters and do some schoolwork..... nah...
I'll just stand here and ring a bell and carry on calling Prufrock readers, whether they exist or not..

Do I dare disturb the universe?

Are you well-versed in T S Eliot, or just his textbook stand-by? And if I'm not mistaken, and I'm not, it's "The Love Song OF J. Alfred Prufrock," not "The Love Song FOR..." I'd be curious to talk to you, though I may have ruined it. Have a great evening.

of or for ?

dont worry sweetie!
In my ed exel poetry anthology book the poem is entitled 'the love song OF J. Alfred Prufrock'
hmmmm interesting .. i assumed this was because the poet was adopting the persona of the imaginary 'PRufrock' in order to relate the poem ....
Maybe though the book i have has been not been printed correctly, *doesnt trust those exam boards*
If it is 'for' instead of 'of' it adds a more distanced feeling to the poem ... or maybe it got changed...
i have rambled on for ages now, so will go ;)
p.s. grwat to talk to you :D
*excuse the spelling*

the misprint was my fault, I apologize. I wasn't quite thinking when I first wrote it out, and you are both right. Thank you for showing me the mistake though...to err is human, ey?
